Summer 2025

It's hard to believe it's halfway through the summer already! Over the past few weeks, our campus has been buzzing with energy as students, volunteers, and staff came together for four weeks of learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories at our 6th annual Summer Reading Camp! We've welcomed new faces and seen many familiar faces—both campers

What a Summer!

This year’s summer camp was a blast! This year was our largest turnout yet of both campers and volunteers. Many students were excited to see familiar faces from last year among the volunteers, which is a testament to the power of the relationships they form throughout the summer. It was also great to meet and

Summer is Here!

Summer is here! Preparations for our Reading Camp have been in full swing for the past few weeks, and we cannot wait for the students to enjoy all we have planned. We have had many volunteers sign up for our four weeks of camp, as well as our largest number of students to date on

Summer Camps a Huge Success!

What a summer!  Our summer reading camp is winding down as I write this.  We just have one day left.  This is the third year we have had the camp, and this is the biggest and best camp yet.  We are averaging over 28 kids per day in attendance.  We have 12 – 15 volunteers

December Already?

December already? It’s good though as Christmas is always such an exciting time at Fort Bend Hope with many opportunities for building community. At Fort Bend Hope, we believe strongly in the value of community.  We believe it makes a real difference in our ability to fulfill our mission of restoring hope by empowering families through education.

A Fun Summer at Fort Bend Hope!

What a great summer we’ve had at Fort Bend Hope. I believe that our summer camp was one to remember. I know that our kids had a blast as much as we did. Now, as we get closer to the start of our Fall semester, I think of how fulfilling it is to work in a nonprofit that loves people and loves to give.

New Site Launch!

Dynamite comes in small packages. From tiny acorns, mighty oaks grow. Can’t start a fire without a spark. There are a lot of sayings about how big things start small. I was thinking about that this week as I was reflecting on the history of Fort Bend Hope.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! It’s not too late to say that is it? The start of a new year gives a chance for a new beginning. At Fort Bend Hope, we believe we are in the business of new beginnings.
