SLAM CAMP: Music

Summer SLAM is over, and the last week was amazing! Music week was musical, loud, crazy and fun. It’s also a week where we introduced our Music club with Justin Barber leading it. The kids got to see how the Fall is going to look with learning to play a keyboard. Patrick Brown led the drum lessons with only buckets and sticks. We had a whole band of kids and a whole lot of noise. As much noise as we had though, I promise we had even more fun. Former singer and Founder of The Black Cowboy Museum, Larry Callies, talked to our kids about his story and the history of America’s Black Cowboy. We ended our week and SLAM camp with a talent show where we had singers, dancers, pianists, guitarists and many more talents in the room. SLAM Summer Camp 2021 is one to remember!
