Happy Fall Holidays
We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had some time to reflect on the people and moments over the past year which you are thankful for. For Fort Bend Hope, it is a year in which God has truly blessed us. We now have extracurricular clubs as part of the after-school program. It is amazing to see the children’s excitement as they learn chess, music, robotics, and many other new things. It is even more exciting to watch as these children unlock talents that no one, including themselves, knew they had. The confidence and self-esteem they are developing is priceless.
For adults, we now offer GED classes and have morning classes. Both are being done for the first time at Fort Bend Hope. The building is full throughout the day with people learning, laughing, and living in community. Amazingly, these are just things we must be thankful for since this fall started. Earlier in the year, we had a remote learning center, new U.S. citizens sworn in, a beautiful new mural created by local high school students, and so much more. Fort Bend Hope is constantly growing as we strive to be a lighthouse in the community. We have so much to be thankful for, and so much of what we have accomplished this year and hope to accomplish next year is due to the generosity of people like you.
This Tuesday November 30th is Giving Tuesday. It is the day after the deals of Black Friday or Cyber Monday are over where we take time to ask ourselves how we can be generous and give so that others are blessed as we are. Fort Bend Hope humbly asks you to donate to us on Giving Tuesday or before the end of the year. Giving Tuesday is the start of our end of year fundraising drive, and we hope you will join us during this time. For only $100/month you can completely sponsor a student at Fort Bend Hope. This is an opportunity to give confidence, self-esteem, and hope to others. Those are gifts which are not for sale in a store and which last a lifetime.
